Minding Your P’s and Q’s — Gay Massage Etiquette

Gay-massage-etiquette.jpeg

Just like everything else, gay massage has its unspoken etiquette rules that must be obeyed. And like everything else, etiquette and good manners are all about being considerate of others.

Be polite. From your very first message or call, try to remember that there’s another human being on the other end of the line. This is less of an issue if you use the online booking tool to make your reservation. But simple courtesy goes a long way.

Be on time. Your masseur might have another client after your slot, so if you come in late, your massage session might have to be shortened to make sure the next client can start on time. There’s also a lot that needs to be done between clients: sheets and towels to change, equipment to disinfect, oils to warm, and, of course, the masseur needs to shower and rest. If you’re running behind, please let your masseur know, but canceling at the last minute is seen as rude since someone else could’ve had your slot.

Be clean. In other words, be freshly showered. Your masseur will, on their part, be freshly showered as well. If you need to, there’s a shower available for your use with fresh towels and toiletries. If you need the shower facilities before your massage, it might be helpful to come in a little earlier for your session.

Give feedback. Feedback during the gay massage session is always welcome so the masseur can adjust to your needs as necessary. It’s your massage. It should feel great. If at the end of the session, there was something that could’ve been done better, we’d like to hear it too. And if you had a great experience, please write us a review on Google or Yelp!

Be discreet. It’s not good form to discuss money with your masseur when you come in. By the time you come in for your session, you should know how much your session will cost, so you don’t need to ask him again. You can place the payment on a side table, or hand it to the masseur directly.

Don’t ask for a discount. Bargaining suggests that our service isn’t worth the price. It’s perfectly fine to enquire about prices, though. And asking for a discount once you’ve come in is definitely gauche. We understand that you might have a smaller budget for your massages, but there are other masseurs that will better fit your budget.

Don’t ask for more pictures. Requesting some photos is fine if you can’t see or find any on the website, but asking for nudes is not.

Don’t take lewd liberties. Mutual touch is typically allowed during an m4m or gay massage, but don’t grab at your masseur indiscriminately. If in doubt, please ask.

So that is the short guide on gay massage etiquette. Did I miss anything?
